iTIG

iTIG

The iTIG is the industry’s most advanced electric motor tester and winding analyzer. Bringing confidence to motor repair companies, industrial end users, OEMs, and manufacturers of rotating equipment, the iTIG features over 20 high- and low-voltage tests including high frequency surge and partial discharge.

Choose multiple tests to run automatically in a sequence or select single tests. Report results with the easiest to use instrument available. Manually operate voltage dial or set up for automatic operation. Carry the iTIG in the field or use it as a benchtop device. Connect to an external portable power pack for testing up to 40kV. The iTIG is the most versatile and easy-to-use tester available.

The iTIG can be configured for any budget. Explore models A, B, C, and D.

  • High frequency surge tests find more cases of insulation weaknesses than low frequencies used by other testers.
  • Electrom is the only manufacturer delivering high frequency computer controlled automatic tests with pulse repetition rates up to 50Hz.
  • Other automated testers use surge pulse repetition rates of 1Hz to 5Hz.

Reporting

  • Generate complete reports for diagnostics.
  • Track trending results over time, compare motors of the same type, filter tests by customer, deliver summary reports, and more.

More About Reporting

The iTIG is the most advanced PD tester available.

  • No accessories are required
  • No settings are required
  • No change in PD threshold levels are required
  • Completely PD free to the maximum test voltage
  • Fully automatic

More About PD Tests

Industry leading accuracy

  • The current iTIG series release models continue the iTIG’s legacy of noteworthy accuracy.
  • Winding resistance can be measured down to 100 microohms with a resolution of 1µΩ.
  • IR leakage current measurement resolution is 10 pA (0.00001 microamps) and measurements can be used for PI tests down to 500 pA.
  • PI tests can be done accurately on motors with very low leakage current.
  • Separate high precision resistance and megohm meters are not needed when the iTIG is used for other tests such as surge and PD tests.

More About Test and Measurement Accuracy

The leakage current measurements, current resolution, and resistance measurement range are highly competitive with the best dedicated megohm and DC hipot testers available.

More About Megohm and DC Hipot Tests

Fully Automatic in More Ways than One

All tests can be done with one lead set on 3-phase motors, which eliminates the need for the operator to manually change lead sets. All selected tests are done in one automatic sequence from start to finish as selected by the operator.

Operator-selected Automated Tests and Measurements

  • Capacitance
  • Inductance
  • Impedance
  • Phase angle
  • Winding resistance and IR measurements, including DAR and PI
  • DC hipot including programable step/ramp tests
  • Surge and pulse-to-pulse (P-P)
  • Partial discharge (PD)
