Surge Tests Using High Frequency Pulse Repetition Rate

High frequency surge tests find more cases of insulation weaknesses than low frequencies used by other testers.
Electrom is the only manufacturer delivering high frequency computer controlled automatic tests with pulse repetition rates up to 50Hz.
Other automated testers use surge pulse repetition rates of 1Hz to 5Hz.

Industry leading accuracy

The current iTIG series release models continue the iTIG’s legacy of noteworthy accuracy.
Winding resistance can be measured down to 100 microohms with a resolution of 1µΩ.
IR leakage current measurement resolution is 10 pA (0.00001 microamps) and measurements can be used for PI tests down to 500 pA.
PI tests can be done accurately on motors with very low leakage current.
Separate high precision resistance and megohm meters are not needed when the iTIG is used for other tests such as surge and PD tests.
